Boy shot at by adult in Boonville, Missouri

An argument between two adults in Boonville, Missouri, turned ugly when one of them, Matthew Campbell, age 25, pulled out a gun and aimed it at a boy.  He shot and missed, but hitting and injuring the other adult, William Cash.

Campbell had been intoxicated at the time.  He fled the scene.  The boy was unharmed.

Cash allegedly crawled away from the scene and hid in a nearby ditch for about an hour. The boy ran to his mother's house nearby. 
Witnesses say Campbell had been intoxicated at the time of the shooting. 
Campbell allegedly fled the scene after the incident. He was taken into custody at the residence of his father, Orvel L. Campbell.

Matthew Campbell and Orvel Campbell are in custody in Howard County Jail. Matthew faces charges for first-degree assault, armed criminal action and first-degree endangering the welfare of a child. All three are felonies. 
Orvel faces charges for hindering prosecution of a felony, also a felony.
