Robert Lakatos, age 16
A 16-year old boy, Robert Lakatos, who had just moved to Miami from the nation of Hungary, was shot to death near the beach.  He and his brother had apparent gone there at night to buy marijuana.  Robert died in his brother's arms.

It is not clear if it is related, but Robert had a fake gun with him, which was really a cigarette lighter.

From the article and news video:

Lakatos' grandmther, mother, father and seven brothers and sisters held one another in the Miami Beach Police Headquarters on Friday morning as they pleaded for justice.

"I don't want to believe I lost him," said Lakatos' mother, Robertna Lakatos.

"I love my grandson. He had a very nice heart," said his grandmother, Elizabeth Banyiae.

Lakatos and his grandmother, parents and seven siblings, all of whom are from Hungary, moved to Miami Beach three months ago from Virginia.

"I just need help to catch the people who shoot him," Robertna Lakatos said.
