14-year old boy dies from accidental shooting in Idaho

A 14-year old boy, William Storm Rees, accidentally shot and killed himself while handling a loaded, unsecured gun in his grandfather's home in Teton, Idaho.

From the article:
The sheriff's office says William Storm Rees died Saturday in a shooting at his grandparents' home in Teton.
Authorities say emergency crews responded about 7:45 p.m. Saturday to a report of a boy being shot in the abdomen. Officials say Rees was handling the firearm while his grandfather was checking on something and the gun went off.
The boy was flown to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls where he later died.
Police say the shooting appears accidental.
Every gun in the hands of a child must first pass through the hands of an adult.
